Day 35 (Feb 22 2004):

Most of the aiptasia are gone, so the pepermint shrimp seem to have worked.

One of the red legged hermits holds on to a turbo snail for a little too long. Notice in the first picture that he's all the way at the top of the tank. We saw him crawl onto the snail around 2pm, this picture was taken around 5pm, around 6:30 we finally separated the two. Not sure why, he didn't seem interested in eating the snail (at least not by 5), sometimes they just crawl onto a snail on the glass I think just to see if they can climb any higher from there.

Added a few more tiny hermits, 6 Hawaiian Zebras and two more that look similar (red antennas and eyestalks) but with red on their legs and white on the front of their claws.

The tang has gotten over its shyness, it still hides when we come over to the tank but if we stay too long for its liking, it will pop out from behind the rocks and charge us, attempting to chase us away.
